What a routine visit includes

A preventive visit is a professional cleaning to remove the plaque and tartar that brushing misses, an exam of your teeth and gums, and digital X-rays when they are due. Problems found early — a small cavity, a worn filling, early gum inflammation — are simpler and cheaper to treat than the same problems found late.

Sealants and fluoride

Sealants are a thin protective coating painted onto the chewing surfaces of back teeth, where grooves trap food and cavities often start. Fluoride treatments strengthen enamel. Both are quick and painless, and are most useful for children and for adults who are prone to cavities.

Children and families

Dr. Kohl sees family patients of every age, and many adult patients have been coming since they were kids. If it has been years since your last visit, you won't be judged — the first appointment is a friendly intake, a thorough exam, a cleaning if you're due, and a clear plan you can take home.
