Same-day crowns

A crown covers and protects a tooth that is cracked, heavily filled or weakened. Instead of a messy impression, a temporary crown and a second visit weeks later, your tooth is scanned digitally and the crown is designed and milled right in the office on a PlanMill 40 S — so in most cases you leave with your permanent crown the same day.

Bridges

A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a replacement tooth to the teeth on either side. It is fixed in place — not removed for cleaning like a denture. Where the neighboring teeth are healthy, an implant may be the better choice; Dr. Kohl will walk you through both.

Root canal treatment

When the nerve inside a tooth becomes infected or badly inflamed, a root canal removes it, cleans and seals the inside of the tooth, and saves the tooth instead of pulling it. The tooth is usually protected with a crown afterwards. Sudden tooth pain is often the first sign — call (718) 743-5199; time is held most days for urgent issues.
